Blair Purdie, owner & operator of Homesit Christchurch.

Blair grew up at a busy veterinary clinic.  His dad Cameron, one of New Zealand’s first vets, introduced the family to the fun & challenges of caring for rural, domestic & even wild animals.  Besides circus animals, injured kiwis and mid-night ceasarians the family found time to enjoy pets of their own.  They owned a dashhound and bred siamese cats and went on to fill their home with the loveable & now popular burmese breed.  For Blair there always seemed time for building aviaries in the backyard or tinkering with  tropical fish but never quite enough time for homework!  Those early years led to vet nursing, pastoral care, and a career in tourism.

In 2003 Blair founded Homesit Christchurch.  His wife Michelle, a nurse, now helps coordinate the Housecall service and administration.  Their three teenagers, black Labrador Storm and pretty little cat Lotte complete the household.

It was with great delight that I came home from my holidays to an immaculate house and garden with home-made biscuits and a quiche awaiting me. I can not speak highly enough of Judy and Owen and also the support I have received from you at Homesit Christchurch. Many thanks for all your assistance.
Suzy, TIMARU
